Daniel Kaler has won 1st Prize at the University of Illinois Concerto Competition, the Chinese Fine Arts Society competition, the competition of the Society of American Musicians, the DePaul Concerto Festival AND at the Music Institute of Chicago Concerto Competition, among many others. He’s also an avid chamber musician, and with his Constellation Trio was awarded 1st prize at the Jules Lazer National Chamber Music Competition in 2009. And as a soloist, he’s performed with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, the Northport Symphony Orchestra in Florida, the oistrach symphony here in Chicago and he’s performed at Music in the Loft, the Young Steinway concert series at Skokie Library, the Chicago cultural center, Harris theater for music and dance and Millenium Park.

He was also the only classical musician and the youngest solo act to this day to perform on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. Daniel is currently a cello student of Hans Jorgen Jensen and his previous cello teachers include Stephen Balderston, Susan Moses, Donna Davis, and Gilda Barston.
