18 year old soprano Elizabeth Pilon and CYSO’s Primavera Quintet

Elizabeth Pilon graduated from high school early in order to attend the Eastman School of Music.

Part 1:  Soprano Elizabeth Pilon, 18, who began studying voice in 2007 at North Central College with Ms. Ogden. Elizabeth has been awarded First Place in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Competition in 2010 and 2011. Elizabeth also received First Place in the Regional Round of the Classical Singer Competition in 2010 and was awarded First Place in the Elgin Opera Teen Artists Division and Most Promising Performer Overall.  Elizabeth was a finalist in the YoungArts Competition and received Second Place at YoungArts Week in Miami, Florida in 2011. Elizabeth has also participated in the summer programs at the Interlochen Arts Camp, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and the Elgin Opera Summer Festival.

Upon recommendation from several music instructors, Elizabeth graduated from Naperville North High School after her junior year in order to pursue music in a conservatory environment. Elizabeth Pilon is now a freshman undergraduate student studying vocal performance and opera at Eastman School of Music. Elizabeth is thrilled to be a part of life at Eastman and to study with her wonderful professor, Ms. Cowdrick.
