Quartet Enigma originally formed at the Music Institute of Chicago in fall 2011. Its current members have been playing together since fall 2012. They have competed twice in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, advancing to the semi-finals in both 2012 and 2013. They have performed at the Music Institute of Chicago, the Chicago Cultural Center, the North Shore Chamber Music Festival, and on the Pilgrim Chamber Players “Stars of Tomorrow” concert, and have participated in master classes with the Avalon and Orion quartets. Though they are based at the Music Institute of Chicago, two members of the quartet commute weekly from Ann Arbor, Michigan.
