Ben Manis is a 17-year-old cellist from Chicago. He studies with Richard Hirschl of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Ben is co-principal cellist of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra and performs in the Principal Players ensemble of CYSO. His trio won the Rembrandt Chamber Competition held at Northwestern University in 2011 and also advanced to the semi-final round of the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition in 2011. Ben’s idea of fun is to spend an evening sight-reading music with friends!
